ry A Waffle Cone explores the intricacies of online dating, drawing from Miachel’s personal experiences to create relatable characters and scenarios. The screenplay captures the ups and downs of digital romance, showcasing Miachel’s unique blend of humor and heartfelt storytelling.
When Mia’s best friend Josie gets fed up with her influencer obsession and lack of confidence in real-life dating, Josie prescribes a 30 day deadline to try “ice cream.” In this snappy romantic comedy, no stray Lego or babysitter curfew can get in Mia’s way.
Miachel says, “I remember my first romance book. I devoured it in three days (a personal record since age 11 and the newest Harry Potter book release) and immediately picked up another from the local library. I started reading the genre before my marriage ended, and these fun, sexy, and at-times-cathartic books helped carry me through romance gone bad to the new, tentative dating that followed. Here’s my take on modern romance—highly personal, awkward, and hopefully funny.”
