Biography
Jonathan Yates is a Senior Executive Producer at DBTV and a Film Festival Director, renowned for his expertise as an award-winning scriptwriter, having garnered over 60 accolades in his first year alone with 20 scripts selected as finalists in major competitions. With a prolific writing career, Jonathan has published thousands of articles in prestigious outlets such as Newsweek, Foreign Policy, and The Washington Post, where he has worked as a writer, interviewer, and photographer for the past seven years.
In addition to his extensive writing credentials, Jonathan is an accomplished show host, leading several programs, including “The Culture of Sports.” This program delves into the intricate business, community, economic, educational, philosophical, and political dimensions of sports. He holds degrees from Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and Georgetown University Law Center, and served as an adjunct instructor on "The Politics of Sports" at the University of Iowa in Fall 2017. Much of his career was spent on Capitol Hill, where he held Top Secret Clearance twice, further enriching his understanding of the intersection between politics and media.
