Down and out comic John gets the opportunity of his life to headline a show at LA’s biggest comedy club. But there’s a catch, the show’s tonight and he’s only got 4hrs to prepare new material. Director Statement: Badmouth Grandma was made to address the challenges of “cancel culture” in comedic fashion. It was our hope to create something that pokes fun at the negative side effects of the harsh reality of telling jokes in today’s world. We believe audiences across the country and globe can resonate with the premise of our story and laugh about some of the fragile absurdities currently in the world of comedy.
Biography
TIMOTHY BLACKWOOD was born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, and educated at the European Film College in Ebeltoft, Denmark. Timothy is a multi-award winning director based in Los Angeles. His 2023 narrative short INFRACTION won 22 awards and screened at 30 film festivals.
