Biography
Brian Quintero is an award-winning Costa Rican-Canadian filmmaker. An alumnus of the 2022 Blood in the Snow Film Festival's Horror Development Lab, he was recently selected for Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) Access Canada's The Diversity Showrunner Bootcamp 2024, mentored by Anthony Farrell and Canfro Productions.
Brian wrote and directed the horror-comedy OLDTIMERS, which won the Silver Audience Award for Best Canadian Short Film at Fantasia International Film Festival 2022 and received the Youth Jury Prize and Best Audience Choice Awards at the San Sebastián Horror and Fantasy Film Festival in Spain. The film has been selected for over 20 international festivals.
Brian was hired to direct the emotional drama AS WE FALL SILENT, which won Best Narrative Short Film at the 512 ATX Film Festival and received nominations for Best Director and Drama Film at the Indie Film Fest 2024.
Brian also produced two feature films: LAST RESORT, distributed by Gravitas Ventures through his company Dead Mariachi Films (DMF), and was hired as a producer on WE CAME TO WRECK EVERYTHING, distributed by Image Killer on YouTube. Additionally, Brian produced the award-winning horror-sci-fi short film THE FORE-MEN through DMF, which has screened at over 30 international festivals and garnered over 500,000 views on YouTube through the Dust Sci-Fi channel.
