Biography
Hailing from the burbs of Houston, Texas, I arrived in the early 60’s to a household made up of broken and blended families. It seems like I was born tapping the drums, as none of us can remember when I wasn’t playing. I discovered acting at a very early age and spent quite a few weekends at Speech Tournaments, when I wasn’t playing the drums at clubs and events. Upon graduating High School, I decided to start my own life adventure by enlisting into the U.S. Coast Guard and heading off to bootcamp. I liked that they spent time saving lives and busting drug runners. That’s a very cool combination. My interests were piqued at the opportunity to become a Radioman. I’m certainly glad I did, because my job entailed communicating with rescue operations over HF and Marine VHF-FM radio. And that is where I met my beautiful wife … on that very same VHF-FM radio. We were both stationed in the bayous of Southern Louisiana, and she called in from a small unit about 100 miles away to obtain the upcoming Marine Weather forecast. The moment I heard her voice on that radio, it was true love! We were married a year later and I became “we”. We found ourselves transferring quite often, criss-crossing all across the states. After a second enlistment with the Coast Guard, our son Jonathan was born and I made the decision to be the stay at home dad. I went back to college and finished my Bachelors degree. When I wasn’t busy raising my son or in school, I managed to find time to work as a computer systems engineer. Eventually, the three of us landed in Central Arkansas upon my wife’s retirement. I was able to take my degree and parlay that into a non-traditional teaching position in the Public School system. Teaching children goes much deeper than Math and English, as most teachers will agree. I was amazed at all of the counseling and spiritual intervention I took on for so many hurting students. After twelve years of doing God’s work in the classroom, He let me know I was in for a serious path adjustment. God had a calling on my life to use my entertaining skills for His glory. A screenplay was sent to me in 2014, and I was casts as the male lead in a Feature Film. My first film and my first role. That helped confirm within me that I was indeed on the correct path. Fast forward, I have a complete VoiceOver Studio in my home and I take on as many rolls as I can that bring glory to God. I am currently writing and developing multiple projects with multiple collaborators. In a word - I'm having fun.
