The Wire On Willie was written for Bryon Franco after I witnessed his quirky intensity in short films at local screenings. Byron’s ability to display neuroticism provided me with the opportunity to visually manifest an individual’s subconscious (which is so often filled with fear, anxiety and self denial).
Though the film is technically about a guy and a girl on Valentine’s Day who make false assumptions about one another, it’s emotional undercurrent is comically anchored by Willie’s relatable inner turbulence.
