Jenny Waldo is a respected producer, writer and director whose feature film debut, Acid Test, adapted from her award-winning short, premiered at the Austin Film Festival and was nominated for the Texas Independent Film Award by the Houston Film Critics Society.

With experience in both documentary and narrative filmmaking, Jenny has associate-produced the indie feature The Preacher’s Daughter, which sold to Lifetime, and the Starz documentary The Cutting Edge: The Magic of Movie Editing. Her extensive credits also include a range of short films, documentary series, and music videos.

Her second feature, Mustang Martha, currently in development, was a Nicholl Fellowship Quarterfinalist and a participant in several development labs, including the Stowe Story Narrative Lab. A graduate of USC’s School of Cinematic Arts with an MFA in Film Production, Jenny is passionate about supporting emerging filmmakers through consulting, volunteer work, and her teaching role at Houston Community College’s Filmmaking Program.

Specializing in true-story-driven, intimate narratives, her latest short film, Twofer, marks her first exploration into the thriller genre and premiered at the Houston Latino Film Festival.
