Biography
Matt Schwartz is a seasoned entertainment attorney and creative producer who has been practicing law for over 30 years in California and Georgia. He earned his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law and holds an MFA from UCLA’s Graduate School of Film & Television, where he completed the prestigious “Producers Program” and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Throughout his legal career, Matt has represented a wide range of clients in the entertainment industry, including most notably, serving as counsel to Laura Hart McKinney – a key witness in the O.J. Simpson Murder Trial.
In 2023, Matt co-founded Bluphyre Media, LLC with his son, David Schwartz, an award-winning filmmaker known for two short films: The Big Chicken and The Old Bargain. Together, they produce compelling digital video content, specializing in branding campaigns for law firms as well as music videos and other dynamic video content that promotes the work of music artists.
