irector Statement:
We were sitting outside watching the birds when Chambliss had an idea. “What about a love story between a milkman and a stay at home dad in the 1940’s?” Zach took the idea in a slightly different direction- “What if someone in the present obsessed with the idea of finding a milk delivery driver accidentally hires an escort who poses as a modern milkman?” We both agreed that this idea was strange enough for us to cling onto. When we sat down at the table read with a group of strangers (who are now our friends) to read and laugh at this insane script, we knew we were in the right place with the right people.
No Milk Today is an ode to absurd comedy. It’s about taking a strange idea and seeing it through to the end. We are proud of the community we found while making this film and can’t wait to share it with as many people as we can.
